Marina Au was born into a family with a distinguished jewelry lineage, growing up immersed in an artistic environment. She graduated from the School of Jewelry at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan)—recognized as one of Asia's premier jewelry institutions—and earned a Master's degree in Jewellery and Metalwork from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. Prior to dedicating herself exclusively to jewelry creation, she had already established herself as an active contemporary artist. Her works were selected for prestigious exhibitions such as New Designers in the UK and Romania Contemporary Jewelry Week.

 

This unique background and educational journey have endowed her with a profound understanding of both the subtle elegance of Eastern philosophy and the expressive power of Western contemporary design, enabling her to seamlessly weave the two into her creative practice.

 

Her creations draw inspiration from classical Chinese poetry, mythological tales, and the beauty of the natural world. Using metal as their framework and gemstones as their soul, she crafts what may be described as "wearable literature." Her designs not only carry deep cultural resonance but also radiate a distinct contemporary energy, making them highly sought after by musicians, celebrities, artists, and collectors worldwide.
